We Will Surprise
Them

We will surprise them
When we appear suddenly,
Out of the darkness of the night,
On the thresholds of their demolished houses,
Out of nowhere - smiling.
Our faces will not show
The endless pain of enduring,
The distance and the struggle of the passage.
We will surprise them
When we unfold the hours timelessly,
The distance of the run fully covered,
When the absolute darkness dissolves,
And we appear with stoic smiles upon our faces,
The Spirits fully tried - tested
Eager to venture once again
On the journey of a new day.
We will surprise them
When our aging bodies find the strength
To rise again above the crowds,
Defying the odds and the consequences,
The infinite thrust of the unknown abyss.
To bathe again in truth and lucid light.
Dreaming of days of azure serenity
Cradling our tender hearted dreams close,
And casting our fate to the wind - Once more
......................................
We will surprise them!

truth is more difficult than its discovery.
