Summer - This Year

Summer
came suddenly this year,
Bringing mixed elusive emotions,
Comforting multitudes of rays and suns.
Unconscious, inevitable at first,
Exasperating, apocalyptic later.
Sent by a beneficent mother nature,
Or by appalling demons of fury,
Nevertheless a vision of life long past due,
Summer..............came suddenly this year.
Soft winds blew
from southern hemispheres,
To sooth the spirit of gloom,
To obliterate the intimacy of despair.
In sensuous, intense spectrums of green and blue,
The lovely fires of forgotten love and lust,
Surrounded with strange beauty
and echoing laughter,
The boundaries of one single ineluctable, brief moment.
Yes, Summer left suddenly this year
......................................................
But its
seed has taken root in my soul.
